Background
Hi, I’m Coral Moghadam, M.S., CCC-SLP, a Speech-Language Pathologist, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist, and founder of Myo Speech & Swallow LA.
My journey into this field began long before I earned my degrees. Growing up with a Deaf sister and learning American Sign Language at a young age taught me some of life’s most important lessons: communication is about more than words, every person deserves to feel understood, and sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is truly listen.
Today, I help infants, children, and adults navigate challenges related to breathing, feeding, swallowing, speech, and oral function. What I love most about this work is helping families make sense of the puzzle. Often, parents come to me feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure of where to turn next. My goal is to help connect the dots, uncover the “why” behind the challenges, and create a clear path forward.
As both a therapist and a mother, I understand that life doesn’t happen in a therapy room. That’s why I believe therapy should feel practical, supportive, and empowering, not overwhelming. I take a whole-person approach, looking beyond symptoms to understand how breathing, sleep, oral habits, feeding, swallowing, speech, and development all work together. I believe some of the most meaningful progress happens when families feel heard, educated, and confident in supporting their loved ones outside of our sessions.
Above all, I want the families I work with to know they don’t have to figure everything out alone. Whether I’m helping a newborn with feeding difficulties, a child with mouth breathing and oral habits, or an adult working through swallowing concerns, my goal is always the same: to provide compassionate guidance, honest conversations, and individualized care that meets people where they are.
Because sometimes the smallest changes- a closed mouth posture, a better night’s sleep, an easier mealtime, & a more confident parent can create the biggest impact.
