Course Description
In this cutting edge continuing education course, participants will learn the E3 Model of Care® for tethered oral tissues. This includes relevant background information on how tethered oral tissues affect oral function from birth to maturity. The course format includes lecture, video/photograph examples, case studies, evidence-based research, pre- and post-assessment activities, and hands-on application of techniques in an interactive atmosphere where questions and discussion are welcomed. This course is a specialty training that is targeted for the oral function professional including:
Lactation Consultants and Counselors
Occupational Therapists and Assistants
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapists
Speech-Language Pathologists and Assistants
However, this training is appropriate for other professionals to learn about tethered oral tissues and make appropriate referrals including:

Participants who complete the training in its entirety with optional listing on the Chrysalis Orofacial® website as a “TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Trained” professional. Participants who complete the training in its entirety will be granted permission to use and display “TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training®” logo, as a designation to the public of their completion of the training. Rules of appropriate use will be communicated after successful completion of the course.

Autumn Henning, MS, CCC-SLP, COM, IBCLC
Autumn R. Henning, MS, CCC-SLP, COM®, IBCLC is the Founder of Chrysalis Orofacial and a distinguished Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Orofacial Myologist, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. With a Master’s in Communication Disorders from the University of Kentucky, Autumn has extensive experience and expertise in orofacial function and myofunctional therapy. She is currently appointed and in good standing as an Assistant Professor within the voluntary faculty series in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences and was a Founding Board Member for the International Consortium for Oral Ankylofrenula Professionals (ICAP).
