Growing up in a home affected by addiction, I spent years grappling with feelings of inadequacy and guilt, believing I was somehow responsible for my father’s pain. It took the unwavering support of a high school social worker to help me realize that his struggles and eventual death were not a reflection of my worth. That understanding sparked my journey into mental health—a journey grounded in empathy and understanding.
I am passionate about helping clients using a harm-reduction approach, which prioritizes safety and well-being without judgment. This method focuses on meeting individuals where they are, rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all solution. I believe harm reduction is essential for anyone navigating difficult circumstances, as it fosters a sense of agency and encourages informed decision-making, empowering individuals to make choices that best suit their lives-especially with eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
After giving birth to two children with limited medical intervention, I found informed medical decision-making to be a cornerstone of my practice. I strive to empower my clients to ask questions and understand their options, enabling them to take control of their lives which is why I found being a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist (PMH-C). Together, we’ll develop personalized strategies that prioritize your well-being and align with your goals, whether they are related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum or other medical decisions.
If you’re feeling broken, know that there is hope. We can explore those feelings together and work towards a place of healing and strength. My commitment to you is to create a therapeutic space built on empathy, trust, and unwavering support.
