Course Description
ISR is the safest method of Self-Rescue swimming for age 6months – 6years. Your child is guaranteed to complete their aquatic problem-solving skills independently in an average of 6 weeks. Created by a behavioral scientist, the ISR method is based on behavioral and sensorimotor learning. This makes it optimal for very young children and children with neurodivergence and other disabilities.

My name is Brianne Keefe and I have been a part of the Westchester Community for 12 years. Originally from Northern Massachusetts, we moved here for my son who is on the Autism Spectrum. Now a teenager, ISR was not available to us in our area when he was little. This would have greatly benefitted him because, as a family, we spend a lot of time by the water and he absolutely loves it. My son is now a swimmer for various swim teams in Westchester. My path crossed with ISR again when my toddler was born, as we were constantly near pools for my son’s swim meets and practices. Her safety was a very big concern for us, but ISR was still simply not available in our community. After much consideration and discussions with other ISR instructors and ISR families, I made the leap to go into ISR’s rigorous training program. ISR is life-changing for our families and I can’t wait to bring these skills to our Westchester Community.
